چکیده
One of the most practical ways to reduce demand for natural aggregates in construction industry and dispose demolition (C&D) wastes landfills is using recycled concrete aggregate (RCA) pavement base subbase applications. Previous researches have mainly concentrated on engineering behavior C&D under ambient temperature. Little research has been directed toward possible impact temperature performance rubberized base/subbase In this study, first time, effects freeze–thaw process properties RCA containing crumb rubber applications were evaluated. The results show that resilient modulus RCA/rubber blends subjected cycles was higher than control samples (prepared tested at constant room 25 °C). unconfined compressive strength (UCS) F-T (subjected one-day freezing, followed by thawing) slightly lower samples. It found UCS value T-F thawing, freezing) remarkably Based preliminary experimental results, rubber, as a low carbon concept an economically viable option, can be used cycles.

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...
Prediction of Lightweight Aggregate Concrete Compressive Strength
Nowadays, the better performance of lightweight structures during earthquake has resulted in using lightweight concrete more than ever. However, determining the compressive strength of concrete used in these structures during their service through a none-destructive test is a popular and useful method. One of the main methods of non-destructive testing in the assessment of compressive strength...

In 1995, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) began reconstruction in Houston on a section of IH-10 with continuously reinforced concrete pavement (CRCP). The unique aspect of this project was the use of crushed concrete as both coarse and fine aggregates in the new concrete. No virgin aggregates were used. The primary objectives of this study were to evaluate (1) the material propert...
متن کاملRecycled glass as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in structural concrete – Effects on compressive strength
Waste management is becoming a major issue for communities worldwide. Glass, being nonbiodegradable, is not suitable for addition to landfill, and as such recycling opportunities need to be investigated. Due to the high material consumption of the construction industry, the utilisation of waste glass as a partial replacement for fine aggregate in structural concrete is particularly attractive. ...
